Why I like Sarah Palin...

Ok I know I'm a few days late on this, but I've been busy with my family and had to put some things on the back burner for a bit. However, I got back to reading and this caught my eye... The 'Cap And Tax' Dead End

This is a smart, successful woman who knows when she needs to step in a new direction in order to make a difference. I see this article and know that she made the best decision for the State of Alaska and for the rest of us as well.

She AND her family INCLUDING her kids have been attacked more viciously than any politician I've seen - and she has handled it with class.

Sarah Palin is the type of woman I can hold up to my daughter and say, you see THIS is what you can accomplish. You can be down to earth, and still hold on to your values, and do great things.

Now, I will admit that I have been somewhat of a naysayer. I was in the group of people who thought "yes, she would be great, but she doesn't have a chance - just look at at the way her family has been attacked". But my mind has been changed. I would not hesitate to vote for her and be one of her biggest cheerleaders should she decide to run for president.

What changed my mind? Well the whole idea that she is good enough ... but... is exactly why the dems have the power they do. It is not because they were the best choice but because Republicans were chicken. YUP there I said it, and lazy too. The dems didn't beat us because they outnumbered us - they beat us because they outnumbered us at the polls - you know WHERE IT COUNTS! The majority of Americans do not support the democratic party values over the republican party values as a whole. That tells me that we just did not have the turn out we should have.

Well, I'm not going to base my vote, or opinion on what "might not" happen because some people would rather get home to dinner on time than stand in line and cast a vote for the values they would like to see in place. I'm going to throw all my weight behind my decision and raise up my voice so that all those people who sat at home and let the dems take it all in the last election are motivated to MOVE IT! Be it for Sarah Palin or another republican ready to stand up for what we believe in and make some waves getting the job done.
